Chemeca is a useful research-heavy Chemical Engineering conference usually held in Australia and NZ. For people living in that region, it is a great opportunity to meet peers and other researchers. In my experience, the quality of the presentations are not as high as some well-know conferences worldwide such as AIChE or NAM, but still something worth attending. However, some very good innovative studies can be found among the talks and posters.

Ways to improve the conference: Would be better if the quality of the presentations were more curated.

This conference is really handy to attend to living in Australia. It includes the latest research in chemical engineering and you have an opportunity to meet peers in your field from Australia, NZ and beyond.

Ways to improve the conference: The event is run in parallel with Hazards Australia. It would be great to have joint welcome and concluding sessions or some interaction in between rather then keeping them separate.

Recommendation: Definitely recommend
