There were many companies and startups attending from different sectors and countries, and it was a big conference. I really liked seeing such a wide range of companies there. Since I was doing customer discovery for the NSF program, I had the chance to talk to many people at the conference.
Ways to improve the conference: The conference could be improved by having more clear and reasonable maps- I got stuck a few times. Although there were many people and guides helping, it was still tough to find certain booths. I also had a hard time checking the map on my phone and matching it to the actual layout. Another issue was that some booths didn’t have many technical people, which made it hard for me to connect and learn more. Also, there were some seating areas that weren’t open to everyone-it seemed like you had to buy an extra or more expensive ticket just to sit there, which felt a bit strange. And finally, some startups were placed in another section of Caesar’s Palace, which made it difficult to visit them. I wish they were in the main hall with the rest of the companies.
