It was a great experience with many amazing companies and startups that participated to showcase their products and projects in the medical imaging field. One great thing about this conference was that the theater pitches were held in the main exhibition hall. In past experiences, such a setup was very distracting, people couldn’t hear the speaker, and others were getting distracted. But in this one, we were given wireless headphone system that were connected to the speaker’s mic at each pitch stage, and only people with the hands-free could hear them, which was great. It was really cool to see both startups and big companies in the field attending this conference.
Ways to improve the conference: The Wi-Fi issue was serious at this conference, as some companies couldn’t demonstrate their products and progress. This can definitely be improved.
Some of the talks were too early in the morning, which made it hard to attend, and some sessions had timing conflicts. A possible alternative could be giving access to the recordings for a few hours after the talks, using the same wireless headphone system or a similar device.
